First phase: 2012-2014

Second phase: 2016-2018

Albayalde will continue its research work on the project POLICROM for 3 more years. The POLICROM project is integrated in the National Plan for Research in Conservation, from the Spanish Institute of Cultural Heritage.

The project’s objective is the study of technical characteristics of the paintings that decorate the medieval wooden roofs, with the purpose of creating a specific method of intervention and restoration.

The results will be compiled into a database that will represent the collected information with ample written, graphic and photographic documentation.

Research Director: Ana Carrassón López de Letona, IPCE (Madrid)
